Waterfall Uchan Su

November 28, 2017

a waterfall in the Crimea, located on the same river, the highest waterfall in the Crimea. The waterfall is at an altitude of 390 meters above sea level on the southwestern slopes of the Yalta Yail, six kilometers west of Yalta

Uchan-Su appears to the eyes of tourists in the form of two "silver threads", falling from a height of 98.5 m. The sighted beauty and power are fascinating, especially when travelers stop at the foot of the waterfall during the melting of snow.

Local residents, from the observation, guess on this river the weather for the upcoming day. If the water is transparent, then, no matter how frowning the sky over the mountains, you can walk and climb mountains without an umbrella. But when it rains on the southern cliffs of the Main Ridge, where the weather is most often formed over Yalta, the stream becomes brown from clay, sand, gravel; water carries leaves, branches, and sometimes - pieces of logs and car tires. In Yalta the river comes after the Wuchang-Su waterfall 98 meters high (in Turkic - Flying Water). Breaking off the cliff at an altitude of 390 meters above sea level, the water is broken on a natural platform, forming a huge cauldron, like a youth bath, with clear water. On the same ledge, a water intake with an eagle sculpture on the roof is arranged. It receives water from the reservoirs, which are located on the slope of Mount Mogabi.
