Bugaz bay - Sudak
April 29, 2021Not all modern tourists in Crimea need a first-class hotel for a good rest. For many, silence, amazing air and beautiful views are more important. Of course, very few people agree to give up everyday amenities, but getting along with only the necessary ones is another matter. Sudak makes an excellent offer for this category of vacationers. The Bugaz bay is located 10 km from the city, it has plenty of clean water and natural beauty.
You can find it southeast of Sudak and Sun Valley. Nearby are Lake Bugaz, Volna village and some natural attractions.
The bay is a natural bay that cuts deep into the land between Tolstoy and Megan capes. Both of them are famous and picturesque, so a beautiful landscape is provided for the guests of Bugaz from the very beginning.
It has several other features due to coastal currents and the nature of the winds. Pike perch is generally considered the sunniest Crimean resort, the beach in the Bugaz bay and in the Bugaz bay the number of days with the sun is 300 per year. The heat is not felt there thanks to the almost constant breeze. The climate is more reminiscent of the Mediterranean.
The sea near Meganom is generally considered by many to be the cleanest in Crimea. In the harbor in question, it is also really that, as evidenced by numerous reviews.
Protected by secrecy
The nature of
Cape Meganom is well preserved due to the restriction of access by outsiders. The reason is military secrecy, because the position of the air defense forces is located here.
A similar story happened with the Bugaz Bay. In Soviet times, access to it by strangers was practically not allowed - there were secret work of a research institute from Moscow.
Now it is not known what the scientists were working on, but they did not harm the environment. As a result, the purest water remained here, where a lot of fish and mollusks live, dolphins regularly swim.
Beaches under the flaky rocks of Crimea
The coast of the bay is a beach covered with coarse dark-colored sand typical for Sudak. There is also a lot of stone chips. Rocky outliers surrounding Bugaz are heavily weathered. The crushed stones are a waste of the sculptural activity of the wind, which carved fancy columns and balconies.
